Several of you had some great results in February and March during the “I am CrossFit” challenge. Remember how we talked about our eating habits being more of a lifestyle than a diet? Well, that is still the case and we want to re-iterate that fact in the coming weeks. I do better when I set goals for myself and even better when I have someone to help me and hold me accountable. So, here is what we want to offer you guys:
From Friday May 7th, to Friday June 4th, join us in the “Great Paleo Challenge”. Those of you who really want to make a healthy lifestyle choice will be assigned a “Paleo Partner” for this 4 week challenge. Our staff here at CrossFit Pulse will help guide you, but the biggest factor in this challenge event will be your “Paleo Partner”. You and your “Paleo Partner” will share ideas and challenges each week and you will be sharing your food journals and giving each other helpful hints on how to eat a more natural diet. Hopefully, you will be comfortable contacting each other throughout the weeks, encouraging, and coaching one another. You can do CrossFit everyday and see good results, but you cannot ever out work bad nutrition.
We will also have a celebration workout at the end of this 4 week challenge that will benefit a special young person in her struggle with a childhood cancer. Her name is Lexie Cameron, and we are doing this workout in honor of her and her battle, and all proceeds from this event will benefit Lexie. We will certainly encourage our members to support her spiritually, as well as monetarily. She is precious and reminds me that every day is a gift from God and we need to live passionately, and of course take care of our bodies.
