What do I do to get started into CrossFit classes?
We want you to experience CrossFit one time before you commit to joining our gym. After deciding to join we want to properly prepare you to experience crossfit. You will need to complete the 6 Crossfit Foundations Classes where you will learn the basic foundational movements of CrossFit. These classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00PM, and on Saturday morning at 10:00AM, during the first 3 weeks of each month.  We feel it is VERY IMPORTANT for you to complete all 6 Crossfit Foundations Classes before joining a regular CrossFit Class.  (see the 5 reasons below)  You will experience a workout at the end of each of CrossFit Foundational Training Class.
Foundational class #1 will start on the first Tuesday of the month, and class #2 will be on the first Thursday.  Class #3 will be on the 2nd Tuesday and Class #4 will be on the 2nd Thursday.  Class #5 will be on the 3rd Tuesday, and class #6 will be on the 3rd Thursday.  Saturday morning at 10:00 will be make up days for any classes that might be missed during the week days. After the 6th class, the following Tuesday, will begin the class #1. If you sign up in the middle of the month, you need to jump right into  foundations classes, meaning if your first foundations class is class #4, you will be requirement to complete #1-3 when it rolls back around.

Who must complete the Foundations Class?
EVERYONE. Yes every member of Crossfit Pulse must complete the Foundations prior to attending any open sessions regardless of your CrossFit experience.

Why is there a Foundations Class?
    There are several reasons for requiring everyone to complete the Foundation Class;

If you are new to CrossFit it is important that you have a basic competency in the common movements you’ll see through out your CF career

If you are an experienced CrossFitter a little review is never bad

We need to see how your body moves and if there are any major deficiencies as to not cause any injury or worsen an existing condition

We want to see how you interact with your peers in a group setting, it will give us some insight into what coaching style may work best for you

We need to set up a mutual understanding of expectations. What you need as an athlete, and what we expect as a coaches.

Why can’t I just jump into the CrossFit classes without doing the CrossFit Foundational training?
We want to keep you safe. Without proper form, your risk to injury is high. We want your form as perfect as we can get it in order for you to be safe.
We want you to get the most from your workout. If you are doing the movements with proper form, you will get the most benefit from the workout. Also, you will work more efficiently; therefore you will get more work done in less time.
We want our class time to be work time. If we are spending valuable class time on teaching basic movements, then we are taking away Coaching time from our other members.
CrossFit is not just a workout; it is more of a lifestyle. We want to take some time with you to discuss your goals, experiences, and expectations. We will also take photos and do a body assessment so we have a starting point to track your progress.
We also want to discuss nutrition and overall methodologies of CrossFit. We believe people will perform better and get more of their experience with CrossFit when they fully understand what we do here and why we do it.

Ok, I’m signed up, how do I get into a foundations class?
Once you sign up, you will be automatically added to our foundations class roster. We will ask you what day you plan on coming so we can make sure one of our trainers finds you and introduces him/herself to you.
I just can’t make it to the gym during these specific times………What do I do?……
We will take on exceptions as we need to, but there will be additional fee included.  Please call the gym at 678-583-0704 or Bryan at 678-409-4815, or email us kamie@crossfitpulse.com or bryan@crossfitpulse.com   We will discuss your special case and come up with a plan.
